BRAFA 2020 - Booth 115C - Galerie Oscar De Vos

The Brafa Art Fair, created in 1956, is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious art fairs, famous for the high quality fine art, antiques, modern and contemporary art and design it offers. Brafa stretches on 9 days from the end of January to the beginning of February. The first major art event of the year, it is considered a reliable barometer of the art market. The artworks on show during BRAFA 2020 will mainly be divided in two thematic sections: Symbolism and Expressionism (1890-1930). The collection of Galerie Oscar De Vos for the 65th BRAFA edition will mark this period as part of the flow of art history. The focus will be on artworks of an important provenance, being fresh on the art market and that have been exhibited in international art institutions, such as Venice Art Biennale, Amsterdam Stedelijk Museum, Eindhoven Van Abbe Museum, Hamburg Kunsthaus, London Royal Academy of Arts, Maastricht Bonnefanten Museum, Sao Paolo Museo de Arta Moderna. The gallery policy is based on the conviction that the high quality of The Latem School Modern Art connects the rich cultural past of Flanders and Belgium with a contemporary international appreciation of its artists. The gallery established its name in this specialized domain, by contributing to international museum exhibitions and (scientific) publications and with its participation in international art fairs. Museums, art institutions and private collectors rely on the expertise and reliability of the gallery to expand and consolidate their collections.
